Prior to joining MGM, Mr. Rabin served as Director of Business Affairs and Acquisitions for Sony Pictures Television International, where he negotiated and drafted a multitude of agreements, including licensing agreements, production deals, output agreements and talent contracts that arose under Sony's international television networks. He counseled Sony's senior business and legal executives as to all business issues related to his negotiations. As an acquisitions executive, Mr. Rabin attended many feature film and television markets with an eye toward product that would best serve to grow Sony's international networks.

Before joining Sony Pictures, Mathew B. Rabin established his own private practice where he handled a variety of transactional matters, from judicial foreclosures to employment and real estate contract negotiations. His commercial transactions included structuring, negotiating and drafting rights acquisitions for traditional and new media, including video game, Internet and print media rights. He has also provided legal counsel to the textile and apparel industry, handling contract negotiations from garment manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers and affiliated sublicensees.

In handling such transactions, Mr. Rabin learned quickly that providing adequate counsel goes beyond any one transaction. It required knowledge and competence in general business law, corporation, LLC and partnership formation, estate planning, trust creation and management as well as probate and bankruptcy. Mr. Rabin brought all these pursuits under one practice — something than many specialized transactional law firms cannot offer. This all-encompassing business approach is the foundation for the Law Offices of Mathew B. Rabin, PLC.
